Known for her leadership and keen analytics, Betsy has spent over 20 years developing disciplined approaches to marketing, strategy and company stewardship.  Betsy began her business career overseas with The Boston Consulting Group, gaining a global view of business and learning how to effectively guide management teams in developing and implementing strategy.

Upon returning to the United States, Betsy joined Apple Computer and led the marketing charge for the Apple USA K-12 Education Team (Apple’s biggest market at the time). Betsy then joined Paramount Communications to become VP Marketing of their educational software division, Computer Curriculum Corporation. Subsequently, she was appointed General Manager of Paramount Interactive, Paramount’s successful technology start-up, translating creative properties into entertainment and education software. She then took the plunge in joining early internet start-up, OnLive Technologies, first as VP Marketing and subsequently as CEO.

Over her varied career, Betsy has demonstrated the distinctive ability to work effectively as both executive and consultant in a wide range of environments, from large, highly structured companies to entrepreneurial start-ups. Her "get-real" attitude brings focus to a growing, entrepreneurial company without extinguishing the creative spark.

Betsy received her BA from Brown University and her MBA from the Yale School of Management.

Memorable Career Highlights:

  • Led Apple USA K-12 Education Market team to deliver 60+% market share leadership through the introduction IBM PC and the Apple transition from Apple II to Macintosh

  • Created the SuccessMaker brand for the Computer Curriculum Corporation instructional system leading to a return to growth against its key competitor

  • As CEO of OnLive Technologies, an early internet start-up with breakthrough multi-point audio technology, rebranded the company and sold it to a development stage company in the Softbank portfolio

  • As General Chair of Hillsborough Concours, the fundraising arm of Hillsborough Parent Group, led over 1000 volunteers to deliver over $1M to the school district.
