Jennifer's passion is helping companies design and build new businesses. Whether it's a start-up or a well-established business looking towards new products and markets, Jennifer's wealth of experience in general management, product marketing, business development and marketing communications provides a solid foundation for helping companies articulate, rationalize and successfully execute new business endeavors.
With over 18 years experience in executive management positions, Jennifer has established a notable reputation as a smart, hands-on leader that can produce focused results quickly. Her experience spans a range of business and consumer technology including computer hardware and software, wireless services, enterprise software and consumer Internet services, with executive operational roles at companies including Netscape Communications, Apple Computer, SkyTel (now MCI), myCFO and Go Corporation.
Jennifer specializes in developing new business strategies with particular expertise in developing go to market plans for new products and entering new markets with existing products. She has led numerous initiatives for both large and small companies in market opportunity evaluation, business model development, market strategy development, and product and services strategies. Her approach is to identify and articulate the business and financial objectives first, then design an operationally sound plan to implement the business strategy.
Jennifer received her MBA from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Her undergraduate degree is in Mathematics at Middlebury College where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
Memorable Career Highlights:
Lead the development and launch of Netscape's Netcenter business, an on-line services portal. Built out and managed internal teams in advertising sales, business development, production, product marketing, programming and marketing.
Built initial outbound marketing functions and teams for Netscape including channel marketing, advertising, business and consumer marketing programs. Implemented several Internet marketing "firsts" such as free server trial download programs and the Netscape Now "button" program which promoted downloads of the Netscape browser.
Lead the development of myCFO's comprehensive technology strategy and plan. On-going management of product marketing, on-line design and development, business development, investments and professional services operations and accounting services groups. Played key role in raising $50M over multiple rounds of financing.
Key member of team that developed a new business for delivering wireless data services over the SkyTel paging network to handheld and laptop computers. Managed product marketing, PR and market communications groups for Advanced Wireless Services division.
